The opening of Korean history

Today, I want to tell you basic information about Korea history.
It will be short summery, so if you want to know more specifically, write comments ~

Korea was first formed in 2333 B.C. The country of that time was called Gojoseon. Later, it was divided into countries, such as Buyeo, Goguryeo, Dongye, Okjeon, Mahan, and Mulgan, and then it developed into three kingdoms called Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla. In particular, Silla unified the three kingdoms, and led to the Unified Silla Periods when a country called Balhae was built. Hugoguryeo and the Hubaekje all came into existence. It was not until the end of Goryeo Dynasty that Joseon Dynasty was founded, and Joseon lasted from 1392 to 1910. The Joseon Dynasty were colonized by force of the Japanese army, and the Japanese occupation lasted from 1910 until 1945, when Japan lost World War II. After a painful history of the Japanese occupation, Korea was divided into South and North Korea due to Russia's conflict with the United States. At last, the Korean government was established in South Korea in 1948. However, after the Korean War in 1950, the Korean Peninsula was completely divided into and maintained by, two separate nations until now.

The possibility of reconciliation between the two countries is increasing as North Korea has recently shown itself as being a land of peace. It is hoped that the unification of South Korea and North Korea will be realized as well as improvement of relations between North Korea and the U.S.

Korea traditional clothes, Hanbok

Today, I want to introduce Korea traditional clothes, known as Hanbok

These pictures are women's clothes.
Aren't they beautiful?

These are men's clothes.

Hanbok have a harmonious balance between straight lines and curves. It also obscures and hides one's body shape. So it can help a person overcome a body complex. Hanbok also allow people to move freely thanks to the wide pants and skirts. Moreover, Hanbok can protect the one's health. It keeps the upper body cool and the lower body warm which is well suited to the theory of Chinese medicine.

However, traditional Hanbok is bit complicated to wear. Therefore, nowadays it's becoming more simplified. This allows a growing number of people to wear in real life.

These are reformed Hanbok which are popular nowadays. I really want many people to wear Hanbok. It's so beautiful!!

Introducing Korea

Korea is small nation in East Asia, between China and Japan. When people think about Korea, many of them think about the 'Korean war' first. After Korean war, we were divided into North and South Korea.

South Korea is where I live. We have the world's 13th largest economy ad our economy is one of the most rapidly developed in the world. We have  roughly 50million people and our capital is Seoul which together with Incheon, is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.  These are basic statistics but I would like to help you explore Korea more deeply.
